I began my accounting career in the mid-1980s, initially performing all bookkeeping tasks manually before transitioning to Accpac 2.0 DOS and then Windows. Since then, I have expanded my accounting software knowledge to include several ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) programs as well as  QuickBooks, a widely-used accounting software that caters to small and medium-sized businesses. More recently, I have also familiarized myself with Xero, a cloud-based accounting software known for its user-friendly interface and accessibility.

As a single mom, I sought formal education to advance my career and enrolled in business administration at Seneca College in 1995, graduating with high honors in accounting. After graduating, I relocated from the GTA to Kitchener to seek a job opportunity that would support my CGA continuation, while ensuring a stable environment for raising my child.

My career includes roles from Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk , where I managed transactions, processed invoices, and maintained financial records, to Bookkeeper where I handled a wide range of tasks including bank reconciliations, preparing bank statements, and supporting auditors during financial reviews.

After much consideration, I decided to leverage my extensive experience to start my own bookkeeping company. My goal is to provide personalized and reliable bookkeeping services to help business manage their finances effectively.

My journey in accounting, from manual bookkeeping to entrepreneurship, has been marked by continuous learning, dedication, and resilience. Each step along the way has contributed to my professional development and success. As I continue to build my bookkeeping company, I remain committed to providing high-quality services and helping businesses achieve their financial goals.
